Learn from Each Other

Recycling and sustainability can be confusing. These are the resources we turn to when we have questions, concerns, or ideas we want to pursue. We hope you find them helpful as well!

Their mission is to create greater awareness of the dangers of single-use plastic, support the efforts of individuals and groups acting against single-use plastic, and advocate for cleaner and greener solutions to plastic-dependence.

PASUP meets monthly January through April and September through December.

Pennsylvania Resources Council

Check out what the Western part of our state is up to. PRC hosts programming for schools and individuals interested in the correct way to recycle through the city, where glass and other difficult to recycle items can go, and so much more.

Michael Brothers Hauling & Recycling

Michael Brothers is a family owned business located in the South Hills of the city area.

Specializing in dumpster removal and hauling, Michael Bros has recently wandered into the world of plastic recycling. They have their own balers and are able to process plastics to sell to other companies such as HydroBlox.
